Compucom Computers was founded by local Midland resident Randall Chism in 1991.  His vision was to provide reasonable, fair, and quality computers and computer repairs to the Midland, Saginaw, and Bay City areas.

The first location opened was in Saginaw on Hamilton Street.  Opening in April of 1991, this store was staffed and maintained by Randy and a few helpers.  Over the years, the store grew its customer base in the Tri-Cities and a new branch was opened in Midland on Ashman Circle.  This branch opened in 1995.

In 2001, the Saginaw store relocated to the corner of State and Court Streets in Saginaw.  However, due to the reduced size of the store, the Midland branch became the source of primary operations and remain there today.

In 2003, the Midland store relocated to its current location at 28 Ashman Circle.  Once the building was purchased in 2006, Compucom had a permanent home in the community!  The store was redecorated with prints of Ashman Circle history in late 2008.  We have fantastic neighbors Midland Furniture Garage and Ginis Goldsmiths.

Sadly, the decision was made to close the Saginaw store in 2005.  The economy in Saginaw had decreased enough that it was no longer feasible to keep the store open.  All operations, stock, and client data was moved to the Midland store.

Compucom Computers has continued to serve the greater Tri-City area customers for over 30 years.  Our experienced staff can answer just about any computer question (going back to Windows 3.1!).  Feel free to give us a call or drop by our store in Midland at 28 Ashman Circle!
